Run with a cause...

So a friend of ours is all about 2007 being her year.
One of the things she's resolved to do is workout with the aim of running a 5K.

Now there are many good causes to run for but none quite as fun as The Santa Speedo Run in Boston. Apparently they do it in Toronto as well, and they even have a cool motto.

Some wait for Santa. Others for Elijah. And still others for Krüüdknæpper, the Festive Elf of Iceland. But in Yorkville, they wait for pasty-white athletes in nothing but flimsy red lycra.

But I think the most interesting yet still counterintuitive is The Krispy Kreme Challenge in Raleigh, NC. When they said that youth is wasted on the young, this is what they were talking about.
