Once upon a time a dashing young Engineer married a beautiful vivacious Architect. They moved into a cozy home together and attempted to work on "home projects" together. They started with the easy things like registering for home goods as wedding gifts. They talked about the decor and the "feel" they were trying to achieve. They even bought a kitchen table together.
Then they divided the space and the resources. She took the smallest room as her office and they got him Wi-Fi'd so he'd have the whole house as his work space. Desktops, deskscapes, wall paint, and wallscapes later; the debate over the tack-friendly environments ensued. Homosote vs. Cork. Homey vs. Pre-fab Modern. Finally tackable wallscape became a dire necessity.
The Architect wants to eyeball it. The Engineer wants levels, measuring tapes, chalk lines snapped and a plumb line committee to verify that the highest grade of chalk was used in the process. With a wing, a prayer, and a cordless drill; the Architect makes fast work of the construction process. If you build it they will come. A hope, a prayer, and baited breath, she places the level on top.
