Someone once called me "cheeky" and I didn't understand what it meant. So I apologized for whatever I did to make them comment on me so. But I always wondered if it were meant to be a compliment or an insult. Now I know.

The police in Ingolstadt said a 22-year-old man they had just conditionally released from custody after they caught him stealing handbags stole an officer’s bicycle on his way out and rode off on it. Officers gave chase and quickly rearrested him. “He claimed he thought it belonged to a friend,” a police spokesman said. “He won’t be getting out of jail so quickly this time.”
