This is Katherine at the Clemson Black Alumni tailgate.
(Please note: She now demands to be addressed as "Katherine", not "Kate". And yes, she is just as sassy as she looks.)

She and Grandmomma had lots of fun checking out all the homecoming floats.

She was not keen on the 'Vigilant" Tiger who stands on perpetual guard in front of the Scroll of Honor Memorial, right across the street from the stadium.

Five minutes later we're at the game.

Seriously, five minutes ago, she was awake. (see above)

Fortunately she has a wonderful Grandmomma who will not only drive 5 hours to watch a game with her, but cuddle her while she sleep through said game. (Grandmommas are great!)
PS. When she woke up she declared "I do not like the baseball, I want to go home."

We bought her a tiger tail thinking it would entertain her enough to stay for the game. At least she liked the tail, if not the game.
Until next year Death Valley.
With a nap to gird her, she's no longer intimidated by the “Growling Tiger”. Although she did warn Grandmomma that is was going to eat her finger.

C-L-E-M-S-O---N! Fight, Tigers, Fight, Tigers, Fight, Fight, Fight!!!
PS. Clemson 45 - Maryland 10. I did not care for the baseball either, but for some strange reason her whining is more effective than mine. We did get to leave early (mid-3rd quarter), even if it was solely because we had a 5 1/2 hour drive back to RDU for our flight at quarter past "ridiculous" the next morning.
